Arrival Information
Dromana is a suburb south of Melbourne, the capital city of Victoria, Australia, and is located on the Mornington Peninsula. Its local government area is the Shire of Mornington Peninsula. Dromana is a bayside centre, nestled between Safety Beach and McCrae, and situated at the foot of the towering peak of Arthurs Seat. Dromana's commercial centre is concentrated along the coastal boulevard of Point Nepean Road, with Arthurs Seat and its surrounding bushland providing a scenic backdrop to the shops and cafes along this route. Dromana's foreshore reserve lines the coast and consists of grassy picnic areas, shelters, walking tracks and designated camping areas. The calm, sandy beaches provide safe swimming and boating opportunities. Points of interest along the coast include the Dromana Pier and the rocky cutting at Anthonys Nose where a boat ramp is situated.

Safety Information & Rules

We are located in a residential community and, although this is a holiday destination, it's home to many people. As such we ask that you respect their privacy and their right to a peaceful existence!

Specifically, between the hours of 9pm and 8am noise should be kept to a minimum.

Pets
Although we love animals, pets are not allowed in our home. The only exceptions are certified service dogs.

Smoking Policy
This is a non-smoking property. Please do not smoke inside or on the covered patio. Feel free to smoke in the garden and pool area but remember to keep the area clean and free from cigarette butts!

Applicances

WiFi / Internet Details

Next to the TV you will find a wireless router providing high speed internet to the house. Please note that the blue glowing light should always be on. If it isn't then the connection is faulty. In this case please turn the unit off (button on side), wait 1 minute and then switch on again. If it fails after restarting please call us. Do not attempt to fix it yourself.

Air Conditioning

The aircon can be controlled using the remote on the wall in the living room near the door to the kitchen. We always maintain the temperature at around 71F - 73F and it should not be necessary to adjust it beyond that range. However, if you do need to, you can simply press the up or down arrow on the panel.

Please ensure all doors and windows are closed whilst it is running otherwise it will not operate efficiently.

The kitchen is one of the places we hang out the most. The grandkids love the sit up bar and it often becomes the place where we all end up congregating and chatting.

Because we love this space to much, you can be sure that it's properly kitted out! You'll find, amongst other things, a fridge and separate freezer, dishwasher, microwave, gas fired cook top, double oven, wine cooler, high quality cookware, etc.

We've included a starter supply of dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid. You'll also find tea towels in draw to the right of the sink.

Should you have any questions before (or during) your stay please let us know!

Laundry Appliances
To the left of the kitchen is a laundry room with separate washer and dryer. There is also a sink and cabinet space in which you'll find a starter stock of detergent and softener. Operation of the units is very simple, with controls for each setting and a start button!

Security / Alarm Information
The house is equipped with an alarm which we would suggest you set each time you leave the house. This is a friendly community and break-ins are very rare, but it's always worth taking the extra precaution when it take less than 10 seconds to set

The TV Remote controls the television. Select ON

The remote controls the satellite receiver. All channel selection/changing is via this remote.

The remote controls the DVD player. To watch a DVD, change the input/source on LG remote to AV1.

To return to satellite, use LG remote input/source and select HDM1 (ensure satellite receiver is switched ON using Shaw Direct remote)

What You Will Find at the House

We provide a starter pack which includes a roll of paper towels, a roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, a few trash bags, basic cleaning products such as dish soap and dishwasher detergent.

In the kitchen we provide basic spices such as salt and pepper and other commonly used spices. If your cooking style requires something special please bring it!

You will need to purchase these supplies for the rest of your stay.

Other Information
The beds have been freshly made up for your stay and there are towels in the bathrooms. There are linens and pillows for the pullout couch in the cupboard in the master bedroom. Twice a week the housekeeping will arrive to change your sheets and bring you new towels. We respect the environment so, if you'd prefer they didn't change your sheets, we'd be a-ok with that! (It's entirely your choice, however.) On your departure day, please strip all used beds (including duvet covers) and place in the laundry room.
Garbage Disposal / Recycling
Garbage and recycling will be collected on a Wednesday. Please put any bags and boxes out the night before on the curb. Please follow the below instructions for correct disposal: Black: All food garbage (including bones), tea bags, coffee grounds and used filter papers, used kitchen towel, grease, fats and oils, hair and fur. Blue: Clean paper and paper products (including magazines and newspapers) and all cardboard. Please flatten your cardboard boxes before you place it in the box. Green: Clean (rinsed) plastic containers, metal cans, bottle tops and waxed cartons.
