Box Hill is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 14 kilometers east of Melbourne's Central Business District is one of Melbourne's oldest suburbs which has become a melting pot of cultural diversity. With a major hospital facility (Epworth Eastern), Box Hill TAFE, Box Hill High and many large corporate office suites (including the new Taxation Office Building), Box Hill has evolved into a hive of activity, all of which is centred around Box Hill train station and tram terminus, with the Box Hill Centro shopping precinct offering foods of the world and many great specialty shops, including the popular Box Hill Fresh Food Marketplace. People travel from far & wide to dine out in any of the amazing restaurants on offer; from traditional Chinese fare to Korean, Vietnamese, Thai, Malaysian, Japanese, Indonesian and so on...

Surrounding the bustling hub of Box Hill Central, you will find some stunning suburban tree-lined streetscapes, offering a vast array of architecture; from period homesteads to the classic Californian Bungalows and Victorian Weatherboards. Of course, there are plenty of units and apartment blocks within walking distance of Box Hill Central, making it a great place to invest. Future development is clearly evident as Box Hill continues to grow and evolve. There's a little a bit of something for everyone in Box Hill!

Box Hill is known for its diverse culture and range of dining options. Along Carrington St, Station St and Maroondah Hwy there are several great places for food. Health services are easy to access, with both private and public healthcare centers located near the main shopping precinct. I can only think of 6 places off the top of my head, not to mention that health care areas on the top floors of both Box Hill centrist Public transport are also relatively easy.

Walling around Box Hill central on any given evening and you could just as easily be in the middle of Melbourne’s bustling China Town. Everywhere you look there are queues of diners spilling out of restaurants onto busy sidewalks, hungry and waiting to feast on the endless array of authentic Asian gastronomy. Devoted dumpling aficionados flock to Station Street’s David & Camy for their fill of xiao long bao (steamed, Shanghai-style soup dumplings), while Kitchen Republik caters to congee enthusiasts.

If Korean barbecue is your thing then Box Hill has all the crispy fried chicken you could ever dream of or, if you prefer the fresh, clean flavors of Vietnamese food, you’ll be spoiled pho choice. From gyoza and mee goreng to banh mi and bulgogi, the myriad open-late eateries cater to taste buds of all Asian persuasions. But it’s not all bibimap and broken rice; Box Hill is also home to one of the best produce markets in the south east, as well as cafes, cheese tart stalls and dessert bars.
